About Clutchyard

A marketplace built by riders, for riders.

What we are

Clutchyard is a peer-to-peer marketplace dedicated to used motorcycle parts. We connect riders who have quality parts sitting in their garage with riders who need them — at fair prices, without the noise of general classifieds.

Sportbikes, cruisers, dirt bikes, adventure, touring, vintage — every listing is tagged to a specific make, model, and year range so you can find exactly what fits your bike.

Why we built it

Finding used motorcycle parts online is a pain. Facebook groups are buried in off-topic posts. eBay is a sea of new aftermarket junk. Forums have parts threads from 2009 that nobody updates.

We wanted a clean, fast, dedicated place — with proper search, bike-specific filtering, secure payments, and real seller accountability. So we built it.

How it works

  • Sellers list parts for free — photos, condition, bike compatibility, price.
  • Buyers search by brand, model, year, category, and condition.
  • Payments are processed securely through Stripe. Sellers receive payouts directly to their bank account via Stripe Connect.
  • Clutchyard charges a flat 5% + $0.30 per sale (deducted from payout, payment processing included). Buyers pay an additional 1% protection fee at checkout that funds the protection system below.
  • Messaging lets buyers and sellers communicate before and after a purchase.
  • Reviews and commendations build seller reputation over time.

How money flows safely

Every order is held in escrow until the carrier confirms delivery. We read the tracking status automatically — neither the buyer nor the seller has to manually mark anything for the payout to release.

  • Sellers must mark orders shipped with real tracking within 7 days of payment, or the order auto-cancels and the buyer is refunded.
  • If the carrier never registers an acceptance scan within 5 days of marking shipped, the order auto-cancels (catches fake tracking numbers).
  • If a package's tracking goes silent for 14+ days with no delivered scan, we treat it as lost in transit and refund the buyer.
  • Once the carrier confirms delivery, the buyer has 48 hours to dispute. After that, the seller is paid. Real disputes are reviewed by us, not an algorithm.
Clutchyard is a marketplace platform — we connect buyers and sellers but are not a party to individual transactions. Sellers are solely responsible for the accuracy of their listings and the condition of parts shipped. The protection rules above are enforced by us automatically; that's what the buyer protection fee funds.
